Taming Werewolf Fury

This is a small mod that will help you reduce werewolf fury through some activities.


Requires, of course, Werewolves GP. Spa Day GP is optional, but will add interesting options.

You need XML injector for this mod to work. 



Activities


I focused on 4 activities and created new interactions that will appear only for werewolves:


1) jogging (under Werewolf category)

  • Instinctive Jogging - for fitness level 0-6 (because it lasts short), will reduce the fury but also will reduce fun and energy

  • Harmonious Jogging - for fitness level 7-10 (because it's longer), will significantly reduce the fury without side effects (apart from low Hygiene, lol), and will give additional moodlet that will regularly calm the fury.

2) workout on treadmill

  • Instinctive Jogging - shorter activity (around 1h), will reduce the fury but also will reduce fun and energy

  • Harmonious Jogging - longer activity (around 2h), will significantly reduce the fury without side effects (apart from low Hygiene), and will give additional moodlet that will regularly calm the fury.

3) boxing punching bag

  • Instinctive Training - shorter activity (around 1h), will reduce the fury but also will reduce fun and energy

    *Here I didn't add harmonious activity because it didn't fit for me.

4) meditation (from Spa Day GP, if you have this pack)

  • Instinctive Meditation - shorter activity (around 1h), will reduce the fury but also will reduce fun and energy

  • Harmonious Meditation - longer activity (around 2-3h), will significantly reduce the fury without side effects, and will give additional moodlet that will regularly calm the fury.

Moodlet

When you use and complete fully the Harmonious interaction - it will give you the special Fine Moodlet. It can lasts from 6 - 10 hours. During this time the moodlet will have special effect on the Fury. Unfortunately Fury will not be locked (I couldn't make this working, not sure why, but whatever I tried, the fury was still increasing, to my own inner growing fury ^^). So eventually I set it up to regularly decrease. During New Moon phase it should have very strong effect, keeping the fury almost all the time on the minimum level. But I'm not sure how effective it will be when you combine various temperaments etc. Also, during the Full Moon if your Sim is outside - it won't have almost any effect, because the impact of the moon is too strong.



Additional aspects:


1) Lunar phase will impact the effect. 

  • New Moon and close phases - interactions will have stronger effect on decreasing fury, and will not decrease fun and energy that much. Also the moodlet from Harmonious interaction will last longer.

  • Quarters and just after the Full Moon - medium effect

  • Full Moon and just before - it will have weakest effect on decreasing fury, and will decrease fun and energy much more than during other phases. Also the moodlet from Harmonious interaction will last shorter.


2) Wellness skill level 7-10 - the interactions will take twice shorter. So for example, if Instinctive Training with punching bag takes normally around 1h, once your Sim reaches wellness skill level 7, it will go down to around 30 minutes.

*Yes, this will apply only if you have Spa Day GP. If you have base game, there's no way to decrease the time of interaction. For me fitness skill is not something that would help werewolf to regain the control faster.


Note

I admit, I didn't test it fully for how it behaves in various combinatios. I tried to cover the required tests to check if all works as expected. And while I am certain the mod will work all fine, I don't know if values I set up for fury reduction and other stats, will be ok. I took as a reference the Somber Howl - and I based my assumptions on the values from this interaction. But I simply didn't have time to play with this mod long enough, to see if it's practical for the normal gameplay.

Anyway, please take that into account when trying out this mod - I'll welcome all suggestions, which effect could be stronger or weaker :)


Conflicts / Compatibility

This mod doesn't override any files from the game, so it should not conflict with any other mod. I know there are (or were) similar mods, that focus on different activities, and they should all work together nicely.
